Program Updates During the COVID-19 Crisis

5/12/2020 –

At Gemma Services, our primary concern is the health and well-being of the children and families we serve, as well as of our talented and dedicated team. Due to COVID-19 precautions that have been implemented for Pennsylvania, and in alignment with best-practice guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we have adjusted the ways in which we provide services and vital support for children, youth, and families. We will provide updates as regularly as possible.

Plymouth Meeting and Rosemont Campuses are currently closed to outside visitors. We continue to serve children and youth in our Residential Treatment Programs.  Families should direct questions to staff members with whom they regularly work, or please call 610-825-4440 for our Plymouth Meeting program or 610-525-5400 for our Rosemont program.

Martin Luther School:
Martin Luther School in Plymouth Meeting is temporarily closed. Our educators have implemented a distance learning plan and are continuing to provide services and support for students and families. If a School family needs assistance accessing outside services or otherwise, please call or text Siobhan Canavan at 484-393-5007.

Outpatient Mental Health Program:
In-person services in Rosemont, Mt. Airy, and Southwest Philadelphia (Preheim Center) sites are temporarily suspended. Our Mt. Airy and Southwest Philadelphia (Preheim Center) sites are also closed to all but most essential services. We are providing telephonic and remote support to our clients. All children will continue to receive access to medication management.  We are accepting new clients. For any questions or referrals, please contact us at: (215) 880-8823, 215-730-2326, or via email at [email protected].

Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS, formerly known as BHRS) and ABA Services:
All services will be provided through telehealth and remotely as well. For questions or referrals, please call (267) 297-5170 or email [email protected].

Prevention Programs:
All In Home Prevention Services (IHPS) and Family Empowerment Center (FEC) programs will continue in-person visits when needed as appropriate. In addition, increased telephonic support is being provided to ensure that we monitor safety.  Any questions can be directed to [email protected].

Our Out of School Time (OST) sites at Catherine and Bryant Elementary schools are closed until further notice.  Virtual programming is being offered for both locations and staff continue to provide support for children and families. Spots are available for children in K-6th graders who attend the two elementary schools named above. To inquire about services, please call (215) 730-2240 or email [email protected].

Foster Family Care:
We continue to provide services for children in our Foster Care program and support for foster parents.  When necessary and appropriate, some services are being provided remotely.  Questions or inquiries, please call 610-825-4440, ext 3205 (Plymouth Meeting) or (215) 730-2240 (Prehiem).

Any questions can be directed to [email protected]. We will respond as quickly as possible. Thank you for caring about the children, families, and dedicated team of Gemma Services.
