To our friends,
Like you, we are very concerned about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in our communities. On top of our minds are the effects of the pandemic on the children and families we serve who need our support now more than ever, and on our dedicated team who continue to work tirelessly to help our clients each day.
Mental Health Challenges Continue. This is certainly a scary time for all. For those with mental health challenges, it is even more so. The children and families we serve are often one step away from crises, and now, even more so. Many are struggling with food insecurity and other difficulties of daily life that are currently exacerbated. We are steadfast in our commitment to be here for them as best we can.
You Can Help. We have heard from many of you with concerns for and offers to assist Gemma to help our kids and families. We can only predict so well what we may need in the coming days, but here are things we know will support our work at this time. We appreciate anything you can contribute to help Gemma respond to urgent needs as they arise.
Ways you can help today include:
- Purchase an item from our Current Needs Wish List on Amazon that can help us respond to COVID-19 as needed. The wish list also includes fun items to engage our residential children and youth during this time.
- Purchase gift cards to support Gemma and the families we serve. The following gift cards are all helpful. Gift cards should be delivered electronically if possible (enter delivery email as [email protected]) or mailed to: Gemma Services, Attention: Development Office, 512 W. Township Line Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Acme Food Stores; CVS; Target; Walmart; ShopRite; Amazon; Wawa; Grubhub; DoorDash.
- Make an unrestricted financial donation. These funds will give Gemma the flexibility to respond to our most pressing needs and those of the children and families we serve.
Please note: as we look to the future, we are planning for how we will receive donations of items for the youth and families we serve, including school supplies, clothing, and more. Should you want to discuss donating these or other items, please contact us via email or phone at 610-825-4440, ext. 3206 to discuss. Presently, our campuses remain closed to outside visitors but we hope soon to be able to pick up or receive donations by appointment only.
Thank you for supporting our mission and work, particularly during this unique and challenging time. If you have any questions, please contact Lynn Unipan, Chief Development Officer, via email or by calling 610-825-4440, ext. 3206.
