Chef Vernick and his wife Julie own Vernick Food & Drink in Philadelphia where he serves honest, no-fuss plates. Chef Vernick has earned countless accolades, including from Food & Wine, Bon Appétit, and Philadelphia Magazine. Notably, The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Craig Laban named Chef Vernick “Chef of the Year, 2016,” and Chef Vernick received the James Beard Foundation award in 2017 for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic. We are so excited to have Chef Vernick headlining the dinner this year.
Chefs 2017 will be held at the lovely Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, PA on Friday, November 3rd from 6 pm to 10 pm, with a VIP reception beginning at 5 pm. Proceeds benefit the programs of Silver Springs – Martin Luther School that provide education, nurturing, and healing services for children experiencing serious emotional and behavioral difficulties. The evening is expected to sell out with more than 400 guests, and will include a cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres followed by a four-course plated dinner planned and introduced by Chef Vernick. A program about the children served by Silver Springs and fun silent and live auctions with many fantastic items round out the evening.
Sponsorships remain ranging from $600 to $10,000 and come with tickets to the event and many recognition benefits. For more information or to sign on as a sponsor, please visit the Chefs 2017 website.
Chefs 2017 promises to be another fantastic evening of good food and fun to benefit vulnerable children and families served by Silver Springs. The evening is expected to sell out, so please get your tickets early!
