staff and child walkingFoster parents play a significant role in assisting a child and birth family when the child cannot reside in his or her own home.

Foster families provide compassionate care in a loving home environment to address children’s needs to help them heal and flourish.

We provide Foster Family Care services for children from Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Northern Chester counties.

Respecting the cultures, traditions, and values of each child and family, we provide the following services:

  • Training and coaching for foster parents to teach children the social, emotional, and life skills to successfully live within a family setting
  • Connections with community-based behavioral health care so children and families can access needed assistance and support
  • Opportunities to promote each child’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth

Silver Springs partners with legal families and others involved in a child’s care – such as county agencies, educators, and additional professionals – who all work together to best meet all the child’s needs.

Silver Springs provides financial assistance, ongoing training, and professional guidance for foster parents committed to meeting the medical, emotional, and behavioral needs of a child. Case management and outreach services are extended to each child’s foster family and family of origin. Children are also encouraged to participate in specialized summer experiences (camperships), for which we also gratefully accept support.
