Silver Springs serves boys and girls, ages 6-14, with serious emotional or behavior-related issues. The program is located on a picturesque 35-acre campus in Plymouth Meeting providing individualized treatment, supervision, care, and nurturing for 72 children on a 24-hour-a-day basis. Various therapies include individual, family, group, highly structured milieu, behavioral and medication management. Additional services are provided to the children's biological, adoptive or foster families.
Since Silver Springs is home to children while they are in residence, children are given all manner of opportunities for enrichment and education, including opportunities for worship, outings to performances, sports events, and parties; a variety of interactive and arts and craft opportunities on grounds; swimming instruction; and weekly visits to the Children's Store, where children redeem points earned for good behavior for kid-friendly items ranging from toy trucks and dolls to AM/FM players.
