MISSION STATEMENT
The Camp at Silver Springs Farm is designed for
children who experience challenges in traditional
school and social settings. Camp will help them to
develop and improve their social skills—including
establishing and maintaining friendships with peers and
adults—through recreational and enrichment activities
designed to maximize each child’s strengths.
HISTORY
Silver Springs has a 150-year history of serving
children and families from Southeastern Pennsylvania.
As a community of educators, health professionals
and caretakers, we are devoted to providing the
most therapeutic environment for children with
special needs, emphasizing their unique strengths.
Recognizing that children with special needs in the
community have limited options for growing,
learning and having fun in a structured and beautiful
environment during summer vacation, Silver Springs
created the Camp at Silver Springs Farm.

All camp activities promote
social and emotional
development to improve
each camper’s confidence and feelings of success:

their experience, enthusiasm, maturity
and love of children. All camp staff
members receive pre-camp training that

development related to working with
children with special needs.
LOCATION
Located on 35 acres in Plymouth Meeting, the Silver
Springs campus includes contemporary school buildings
with access to state-of-the-art technology, an indoor pool,
athletic fields, barn with farm animals and picnic areas.
